Note to self: do not schedule your annual physical the week after Thanksgiving and the week before your period. Who wants that to be their official weight for the year?!

Oh, that gave me a laugh. And let me tell you today I needed that!
Okay, here's a random question. If you had to suggest a workout DVD (I just can't manage to get to the gym plus it's not really in the budget right now) which one would you suggest? I have a pilates DVD that I love, but I want something more cardio oriented. I have resolved (yet again) to get in shape.
I would recommend Turbo Jam (www.turbojam.com)...its dance/kickboxing. I take and teach Turbokick in town.
I would head to the library and check out some dvd/videos there and see what you like. Honestly, catch some infomercials (Hip Hop Abs is good too!). Zumba (latin dance/cardio) is coming out with a new DVD in early 2008. The pricing might be better then.
Here's a blog about life as a parent, spouse, and active (yet sleep-deprived) human being. I also write about topics related to early childhood education and fitness. You will also find parenting ideas and topics, recipes, media reviews, and community information about Central Illinois.
I am a stay-home mom/now-preschool teacher/fitness instructor/personal trainer with a background in child development and special education...I live with a wonderful paramedic/event planner/home improvement hubby and four nutty but lovable kids, baby, 6, 8, 15yo! We love to eat chocolate, dance, and make music as we live our frugal and liberal lives.
